OnePlus 13 is headed and preparing its users for changes to be made to its system, hence exterior figures as well should be expected to undergo an overhaul, especially to its tertiary feature. Digital Chat Station, an informed tipster, reveals that the OnePlus 13 maintains the triple-camera configuration on the back but has two significant upgrades.
See the views on Weibo, and there is evidence that the OnePlus could maintain the central photo camera intact, which, in the OnePlus 12, is the 50MP Sony LYT-808. Nonetheless, the periscope and ultrawide cameras could be the one getting the upgrade. Rumoured camera sensors as per the OnePlus 13 specifications include the use of the Sony IMX882, a 50MP sensor also used on mid-range devices such as the China-specific OnePlus Ace 3V and the POCO F6 for the ultrawide and periscope lenses. However, in the OnePlus 12 we saw the use of 64MP Omnivision OV64B sensor for the telephoto lens and 48MP Sony IMX581 sensor for the ultrawide lens. Even so, it is believed to that the new flagship, the OnePlus 13 will retain the 3x zoom capability.
Still, there is no way for these sensor changes to impact on such factors in real life shooting. Another downside to the OnePlus 12 was that you can only rely on it as a camera phone in well-lit environments, and there expectations are high for the OnePlus 13. The rumors speaking of the hardware changes could be connected not only with a change in the number of cameras but with their positioning as well. Prior leaks indicate that 2021 could potentially have a centrally aligned circular cutout in place of the current offset camera housing.
The OnePlus 13 phones are expected to be launched in China in December and we likely to see more details about the phones in the following months. Here we have to wait for more information about this much awaited flagship from LG.
